I love working in software engineering because of the mix of creative and problem solving skills that I use on a daily basis. At JUST EAT I’ve had the opportunity to work on front end apps using Angular.js, I’ve written code to deploy software to the cloud in Ruby and I’ve worked on APIs in C# that underpin the JUST EAT website. My job means that I work with really intelligent people, use new technology and build software for an exciting and growing tech company.
— Kate Richardson - Software Engineer
We all love working in automated testing because we get to write code that breaks other people’s code! Our jobs involve analytical thinking in order to break down requirements into testable units as well as technical skills to write the code for the automated tests. We currently write code in Ruby, Objective C and Java.
— Rebecca Stafford, Deepthi Lansakara, Preet Sandhu - Test Automation Engineers
As a UX Designer, it is essential to have logic and thinking behind our designs whilst ensuring that we keep everything inline with the latest operating systems - it isn’t just about making things pretty. That’s what I love most about my career and JUST EAT definitely provides the ideal foundation. In UX, we have a close relationship with our UX researchers, developers, and test engineers who help us offer an even better and seamless experience for our customers.
— Mina Nishimura - User Experience (UX) Designer for Mobile Apps
I joined JUST EAT three years ago as QA Engineer and through internal promotion I progressed from Engineering to Product. This is what I love about the company. You are given the opportunity to learn new skills and develop and you get a chance to work with very talented people. In my current role I can let my creativity flourish and by teaming up with our brilliant UX designers, developers and QA engineers, create new and exciting products.
— Sylvia Cichocka - Product Manager
I’ve been at JUST EAT for just over four years and I’ve held a number of different roles and worked with some brilliant people. Being able to move into different roles has been great and allowed me to develop my career. I now work in the International Engineering team which sits across three locations and delivers different projects in eight countries. I love the variation of projects I work on and all of the variables that need to be thought about in order to deliver.
— Becks Henze - International Engineering Project Manager
