An update from the GGM UK headquarters

Things are busy at the GGM headquarter (which is whatever cafe we choose to go to on a weekly basis). Robyn is in the US launching Dattch and winning pitch competitions - we're mega proud following her journey. Josie and myself (Magdalena) have been caught up in family affairs and big work projects. Hence we decided to postpone the March breakfast, planned for Thursday the 13th of March.

Instead we're aiming to do our next one in April - date to be confirmed shortly. The topic will be mobile so please tweet us if you have suggestions of speakers. We've got some awesome mobile ladies in mind but would love to hear your suggestions.

We also like to say a big thank you to our inspiring speakers from our Let's talk APIs breakfast. We were trying out our new format where we have three focused talks covering the basics, the future and a 'my story' talk.

Camille Baldock, freelance developer, covered the basics on APIs - explaining how they are used and how the code speaks to code.

Then we had Chris O'Dell, lead developer at 7digital, talking about the future of APIs, who introduced her thoughts on how hypermedia will influence development in a few years time. You can find Chris's presentation here.

Lastly we had Sara Gozalo from BBC who were sharing her love of building products around music and how she was working with different APIs developing BBC Playlister. You can find here presentation here.

As every morning after a GeekGirl breakfast I believe most of us left inspired and hungry to learn more. Can't wait to see you at the next one!
